From 11th to 12th October 2012 the EU-USR project Partners gathered in MENON premises at Brussels, with the aim of introducing the Project team, giving an overview of the projects main objective, the results to be expected, and first steps and activities to be taken on that behalf.
The integration workshop took place in April 2013 at the University of Edinburgh, Scotland, for members of the Consortium to present the outcomes of an extensive programme of desk research focused on identification of examples of good practice in USR across Europe and to commence the process of developing draft benchmark standards for USR.
The 3rd Project Meeting has been held in Bucharest on 5th of September 2013 within University Politehnica of Bucharest premises. Within the meeting, the partners reviewed the status of the Implementation of the workplan as well as the planned actions for the next period. The first benchmarking visit took place in University Politehnica of Bucharest on 6th of September 2013.
The project team analyzed SR policies and practices of UPB by reviewing before the visit the strategic documents of the university and the Evaluation Report done by The Romanian Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education.
The benchmarking visit in UPorto has taken place at the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences on 23th and 24th September. Policies and practices of UPorto in regard to social responsibility were analysed through documental analysis before the visit.
The third Benchmarking Visit took place on 13th November 2013 at the University of Cádiz in Spain.
Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC) was the subject of the 4th Benchmarking Visit, which took place from 12th to 13th December 2014, aiming at analysing and understanding more in-depth current social responsibility policies implemented at this Institution.
The Forum of Social Councils of Andalusian Public Universities and the Social Councils Conference of the Spanish Public Universities are working on organizing the I International Conference on Social Responsibility of the University, to be held on 20-21 of February 2014, and based at the University of the Historic Town of Cadiz, Spain. The fifth and last Benchmarking Visit has taken place from April 28th to 30th 2014 at the University of Edinburgh. This three-day meeting allowed the research team members to interview the main representatives of UoE in terms of University Social Responsibility.
COMMIT Project (Committing to the social dimension in universities) intends to increase commitment to the social dimension of higher education (HE) and support strategies for increasing attainment. COMMIT’s first activity has the objective to discuss with external experts the reviewed ALLUME tools and the new COMMIT tool for monitoring attainment in HE. The programme of
